EU and US importers now routinely request steam-sterilised pepper with ASTA cleanliness, piperine content above 6%, and pesticide panels screened to EU MRLs. For cardamom, whole green pods with 8mm+ bold size, moisture under 11%, and retained green colour command the strongest premiums in Gulf retail and Scandinavian blenders.
